Professional journey

A peripheral nerve practice built through trauma, orthopaedics and reconstruction.

After specialist certification in orthopaedic and hand surgery in Israel, Dr Khoury pursued an extended international pathway in reconstructive microsurgery and peripheral nerves—a discipline where anatomy, timing and functional priorities must be considered together.

01

Thoracic surgery and trauma

The first two years of his surgical career developed a broad understanding of chest anatomy, thoracic trauma and the foundation for evaluating thoracic outlet syndrome.

02

Orthopaedics and major trauma at Hadassah Ein Kerem

Experience with severe injury, trauma and limb reconstruction established the functional context in which nerve injuries occur.

03

Hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery

Recognized specialist training in hand surgery, with advanced work in microsurgery and reconstruction of delicate structures.

04

Core fellowship training

A dedicated year in peripheral nerve surgery in Taiwan

After six months of reconstructive microsurgery training in Singapore, Dr Khoury completed a one-year fellowship with Prof. David Chwei-Chin Chuang focused solely on brachial plexus surgery, nerve transfers, facial nerve reconstruction and functional restoration.
